La Remiera Casteo défend le développement et la préservation de la voga alla Veneta. C’est une tradition ancestrale typique de Venise que l’association veut faire découvrir et aimer au plus grand nombre, principalement aux jeunes générations afin que la tradition se perpétue.
Il s’agit d’une expérience solidaire où l’intégralité de ce que vous payez est reversée à Remiera Casteo ASD.
Au programme
Vous explorerez un zone de Venise hors des sentiers battus à bord d’une barque traditionnelle de la lagune appelée « Caorlina« . Elle était principalement utilisée pour transporter des marchandises et pêcher. Nous naviguerons paisiblement sur les canaux du sestière de Castello (zone « est » de Venise), une zone où de nombreux Vénitiens vivent encore. Vous aurez la chance de voir des lieux authentiques, riche en vie locale et plein de charme. Découvrez comment les secrets de l’Arsenal ont permis la construction des palais magnifiques sur Grand Canal. Autre lieu important que nous verrons la cathédrale Saint-Pierre, ancien siège de l’archevêque de Venise (A Venise il est appelé le Patriarche, il est nommé par le Pape), dessinée par Andrea Palladio au XVIème siècle. Cette expérience a un but social de financer la gestion et le développement de l’association Remiera Casteo dédiée à la préservation et la promotion de la voga alla Veneta.

L’équipe parle français mais l’expérience se déroulera principalement en anglais afin que l’ensemble des participants comprenne. Possibilité de demander une expérience exclusive en français. Contactez- moi pour cela. Les participants doivent être capables de monter autonomement à bord d’une barque. Nous conseillons d’être habillé confortablement et avec des chaussures à semelle plate. Il n’est pas possible de monter à bord avec des bagages. Aucun animal autorisé à bord.

About Remiera Casteo ASD
Remiera Casteo supports the development and preservation of the traditional rowing as a way to strengthen the local community and to rediscover in a new, sustainable way the natural and historical heritage of Venice. The aim of the Remiera is to involve the young generation through courses for children, engaging all members in the many public events organised with the Municipality of Venice.
This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Remiera Casteo ASD.
What we’ll do
Explore a hidden area of Venice in a traditional Caorlina rowing boat, an antique lagoon boat used for transportation and fishing. The Caorlina can host 8 people seated and it’s rowed by two oarsmen. We will navigate slowly through the canals of the Castello sestiere (east part of the Venice historical island) where locals live. You will see an authentic area & neighborhood where most of the tourists will never go, smaller and bigger canals with local boats and typical houses. We will access to the restricted zone of the Arsenale basin, where you will be introduced to the Venetian rowing technique « Voga alla Veneta » and you will have the opportunity to try to row yourself in this unique area. Get ready to learn the history of the Arsenale shipyard, founded in 1104, during the Venetian Republic era, and see the magnificent St. Peter’s basilica designed by Andrea Palladio in the 16th century and its leaning tower bell in Istrian stone. The Experience lasts 1 hour. Departure and arrival place: Sant’Anna canal. This experience benefits Remiera Casteo, a non-profit sports association officially registered since 1977.
